Best Western Hotel Ambassador

After research, selected this hotel to visit friends over a holiday weekend. The selection was made based on the information available on hotel's website, including both the hotel's own descriptive text and photos: a "Superior" room including the optional breakfast was reserved. On the positive side, the hotel is in a good location within walking distance of a small outdoor shopping mall. This afforded us a number of shopping and restaurant options. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered good variety of both hot and cold items. Our room was clean and comfortable. On the negative side, despite what is advertised on the hotel website, it does not have a fitness center, spa or foreign currency exchange; fortunately, there was a Sparda Bank branch within a 5-minute walk. Our room lacked air conditioning, a telephone, iron/ironing board, radio or mini bar. This was disappointing to say the least. Had these amenities been available as advertised, this would be an easy five star review. I included these comments in a survey I received from Best Western.

Stayed for one night, and it was a solid experience overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained. The room? Spacious, sleek, and had everything you’d need—definitely felt like it was designed with comfort in mind. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was on point, offering a wide range of options that actually tasted good (which is a rare find). The location was quiet and pleasant, perfect for a relaxing stay. No complaints—would definitely recommend for a short stay or longer.

Great hotel to spend a night or two. Nice views on both sides, located near the city’s commercial and entertainment center. Safe, lot of a parking space in front of the entrance and in the underground parking garage. Rather good breakfast. 🥞 Professional staff. Free coffee and tea available in the throughout a day. Spacious and comfortable rooms, however in one of the rooms there was a strong smell of some sort of medicine, and we could not get rid off by opening the windows wide. For a half of the day.

A very clean and tidy hotel in a beautiful green surrounding, great for nature walks. Our car broke down durin our trip were helped by the extremely kind Daniela via phone booking and at the reception. They even helped us with carrying all our luggage and our 2 little cats in the hotel. We had a peaceful, spacious room. |It has not been a planned stop for us, but it has turned out to be an experience we'll never forget. |We advice everyone to stay at this peaceful and friendly hotel.

Room was clean and big enough to accommodate a family of 4; plenty of towels too. I wish we could’ve controlled the a/c in the room - it was too warm. The mattress is extra firm which I did not like. Parking garage is tight if you have a sedan or larger. Location is great….Aldi and Rewe are steps away.

Good points: the man on reception was polite and helpful. Nothing else! Bad points: the woman on reception sprawled across her chair playing on her phone was not helpful. This resulted in our key not being programmed when we got to the room because one person was trying to do everything The room was easily 30C when we got in there (at midnight). There is no AC and only 1 small fan in a family room. I tried to call reception to ask for another but the phone was broken The mattress was like lying on a plank of wood. The pillows compress down to nothing when you lie on them and there are no extras in the cupboard. The duvets are tiny In general, everything in the hotel is VERY old. It might have been nice at some point, but not any more. If it was €50 per night I'd still feel like it was bad value. For €130 it's just not acceptable

Stayed here on 20 September 2019. We were warmly welcomed by lovely, caring staff and were hopeful of a happy night here. However, our room was not very attractive, it was cold, smelt of smoke and had no Wi-fi connection. The walls were thin and we were kept awake by noisy guests....also there was virtually no view out of the window, just more windows.||||However, the food was deeelicious (they have a good chef here), the room was spotlessly clean and, as I said previously, the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to help us in every way.||||Really wouldn't like to stay here again and so cannot recommend.

Breakfast is not a good value for money. Rest is all good.
