Holiday apartment was very spacious. For me a good service and details matter! Every minute from my 24h stay in this lovely hotel was perfect! Very good breakfast!

Very good hotel with a friendly personnel.||We were in room 33 which was perfect for a family with kids: spacious, cosy and very calm. And very dark when the curtains were closed which is pretty rare in Germany.||The breakfast is good even if there is not a lot of space during peak hours to get your food.||In terms of location, the hotel is close to the beach and there are several good restaurants in the area.

There are two buildings. one located Berthin-Bleeg-Strasse 2 , the other one at the Hauptstrasse, a bit misleading as the one in the Hauptstrasse (we were here) is more noisy (main road, bus traffic...).||The rooms are small, but sufficient. The carpet is not really clean and worn out. The mattress in the bed is worn out as well. The room has all you need from hair dryer to flat TV etc. The bathroom has no window and it was a bit smelly from the sinks.||However, still recommendable as the staff is very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast only starts at 0830, where in the other building it starts at 0800! Breakfast quality and choice is really excellent. Sauna is recommendable as well and in very good shape (2 Saunas).||The overall location for me is excellent, only 250 m from the beach and very close to restaurants.

It is far more then the usual traditional B&B hotels you might know with nice small details that show that here are working the right people at the right place with lot of Love and passion. Excellent service from nice staff which are always pretty helpful. Great and rich breakfast , nice cakes in the afternoon and some really good snacks that can made a soccer game in the evening in the nice winter garden a perfect eve.

Nice hotel with lovely little details like hand painted eggs for the breakfast buffet. No elevator and relatively tiny but nicely decorated rooms. The breakfast buffet is comprehensive and we enjoyed, the quiet atmosphere.

This hotel's website says that it's a 'first-class hotel', but we didn't find that to be the case. The staff is not really friendly, but if you grade on a northern German curve, maybe they seem a bit friendlier. No elevator in this place, and limited help from the staff. (The front desk guy carried my girlfriend's suitcase to our second floor room, but not mine). No Wi-Fi and I write this review in 2011. Also, you had to pay for newspapers. Breakfast was reasonably good, but I wouldn't write home about it. The room was a nice size, but the bed was too mushy (I used this word for the German speakers to enjoy) and it gave me back pain. Also, as in most of Europe, there's a dearth of counter space in the bathroom. The room was clean enough. Sylt is known as a posh German tourist destination, and it is. But, Wenningstedt is not the most posh town on the island. It seemed that Kampen next door was a very posh town if that's what you're looking for. A number of decent restaurants in the area, but none were that special that we tried.

We stayed here two years ago and liked it. And coming back here was no mistake. Friendly staff, nice snacks in the bistro, just a few minutes from the beach, bus stop close by. And the breakfast! Very nice!

Lovely, rather traditional B&B on the most favorite of the German islands. Excellent and friendly service with a personal touch, just 5 walking minutes from the western beach.|Whereas the village itself has not too much to offer, it is nicely quiet and just a few minutes with public transport / car or even bicycle to Kampen.
